Netflix has everything for everyone, any mood a person is in there is something for them. With a combination of third party titles to Netflix’s own original web series, and movies, Netflix has 100 million subscribers with more people globally subscribing everyday. Pushing their goal of becoming 50 percent original programming, with such popular titles for TV series as: Narcos, Atypical, Marvel’s Daredevil, Stranger Things(Season Two drops in October), and Orange Is The New Black. Netflix also has many popular original movies such as: To the Bone, Okja, The Fundamentals of Caring, and Beasts of No Nation.

Netflix caters to each and every individual subscriber. Their secret algorithm allows each subscriber to have a customized home page to their liking. No two home screens are the same. Netflixs’ algorithm finds what you like by the shows you watch. They see what makes up the show and finds similar shows like that. They dont specfically need to be in the same category as whatever you just watched was; what is the most similar might be in the one category you never look in. Netflix expands on the basic categories such as: Action, Adventure, Comedy, Thriller, Drama, Horror, and Romace.

Recently Disney and Netflix had a dispute between them. Disney recently announced that they would have their own ad-free streaming service. It will be similar to Netflix, but Disney’s content will only contain Disney and Pixar animated and live action movies. This strategy change made by Disney will see them leaving Netflix in 2019. This move by Disney was a rapid one, as they had just made a deal with Netflix in early of 2017; for Netflix to be the singular streaming source for new Disney movies out of the theaters. Although this split between Netflix and Disney will not take away the Marvel shows from Netflix. Every show related to The Defenders series will still be available on Netflix.

This companys’ existence was the end of movie rental stores (R.I.P Blockbuster) and a new nightmare for cable companys.
