New AP?

Part of Mr. Aguilar’s day is spent monitoring student lunches.

For the past few weeks, many students have been asking the same question, “Who’s the new AP?”  Mr. Aguilar, the “new AP”, isn’t an AP here at all, although he can see himself eventually becoming one for student affairs or curriculum. He is simply here at Blake to learn from our very own administrators.

During his experience here, he has learned that the students are “for the most part are highly engaged in their classes.” He compliments our Fine Arts program, band and facility. He was previously an AP at Marshall Middle School.

When asked about what he enjoyed most about Blake, he stated that it was the hard working students and the dedicated colleagues. He calls them caring adults, saying they are “always willing to help our students.”

It is unknown how long he will be here, as it is up to the district.
