The Deepwater Horizon was the subject of the biggest oil right explosion in U.S. history. It’s took the life of multiple men and many animals.

The Deepwater Horizon was an oil drilling rig located off the Gulf of Mexico. On April 20, 2010, an explosion on the oil well drilling platform occurred, killing 11 men. Two days later, a second explosion took place, later resulting in the rig sinking. Oil flowed out into the ocean, killing and permanently injuring many animals.

The movie, with the same name as the rig, was able to touch the moments before and during the incident. It gives full details on the issues between the rig workers and BP, and oil and gas company, that lead up to the events.

The movie was quite emotional towards the end when it named off the men who passed and when it showed the people reuniting with their families. Besides the heartbreaking ending, the writers did not fair to keep their audience onot the edge of their seats.

“I kept shaking and feared for the characters.” Claims one viewer. “The movie was nerve-wracking, tear jerking, and amazing all at once.”

All in all, the movie was brilliant, a personal opinion, and definitely deserves at least four stars. Also, a round of applause for the the incredible writers, actors and the whole crew who worked on the Deepwater Horizon movie.
