Blake High ACTs Now Against Suicide

Faculty and staff at Blake High School held an ACT Now assembly to encourage suicide prevention.

The reoccurring issue with students participating in self-harm and suicide has gotten out of control. As a solution, Blake’s administration organized an assembly to ensure that students are aware of what suicide is and how to prevent it. This presentation was displayed on October 21, 2019. The presentation focused on the three primary steps to suicide prevention: prevention, intervention, and postvention. Students were divided into large groups based on grade level. Due to this assembly, students gained knowledge on how to handle anxiety and prevent self-harm and suicide.
