Is Spirit Week Not Interesting Enough?
The big game between the Yellow Jackets and Tigers is coming up! There is a football game coming up this Thursday, September 14th between The Blake Yellow Jackets and our longtime rivals, the Middleton Tigers. And everyone knows that when a big event like that happens, a spirit week needs to go on!
Monday- Grease Day
Tuesday- HBCU Day
Wednesday- Circus Day
Thursday- Class Colors
Friday- Hispanic Heritage Day
But as it turns out, there is a second spirit week! It’s not an official one, but there has been a picture going around Instagram among the students that shows a completely different spirit week than the one given. Why is that the case though? According to the students, spirit week is just not interesting. The students say that they thought that Grease Day just wasn’t entertaining because of how old the movie is and no one in Gen Z cares about it. On Grease Day, it was mostly teachers that dressed up and maybe a handful of students. Is that a valid reason though? This is what the second spirit week days are:
Monday- Generation Day Freshmen (Babies) Sophomores (Teenagers) Juniors (Moms and Dads) Seniors (Senior Citizens)
Tuesday- Character Day
Wednesday- Old School 90’s Day
Thursday- Neon (Bright Orange, Pink, and Highlighter Yellow) Glow Party Ready!)
Friday- PJ’s Put Middleton to Bed!
Is the second spirit week more interesting?
