Gasperilla 2020

The county’s third largest parade is right around the corner. On Saturday the 25th pirates are sailing in and are ready to invade.

The name Gasperilla was inspired by the famous pirate Jose Gaspar who terrorized the coastal waters of West Florida during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Jose Gaspar was known for being one of the last pirates to crusade Tampa Bay. In remembrance for the pirates of Tampa Bay, Gasperilla was created. The first parade was in 1904.

You can join the pirate fun for free starting at 9am. 

Event is Free. Reserved seating $45 – 60 a person. Vendors for food and drink also cost money.
