American Horror Story: Apocalypse
Review on the 8th season
Last night at 10:00 PM ( Sept. 12th) the new season of American Horror Story: Apocalypse made its debut on FX with a chilling new story line but some familiar faces may be seen. The show starts with the recurring face Evan Peters, cutting the hair of a snobbish social media star who receives a missile alert warning the people of Los Angeles to evacuate before the city of angels meets its end.
After the missile hits, a select few are picked to join a society and live in a building of the elite and rich while the world attempts to get itself together again. The show has many creepy features that give off 1400’s vibes. People wearing the classic bird like plague masks, the only light being given off comes from candles, and Victorian style dressing.
It’s nearly impossible to avoid the chills of fear and excitement while watching this show. Especially during the cult-like satanic introduction that’s accompanied by an eerie song that AHS fans have come to know all too well. Student Carolina Pelayo says “I loved it, season one will always be my favorite but I actually really liked this one” in regards to the first episode of Apocalypse.
This is just the first episode and I am already on the edge of my seat awaiting next Wednesday to find out what happens to the few people left on the planet. This season definitely has the potential to be one of American Horror Storys’ best seasons yet.
