Ever since season 4 of Miraculous aired on television, the cliffhanger left viewers eager to see
what happens next. The thought of their favorite superheroes losing the miraculous to
hawkmoth kept them on the edge of their seats and now with season 5 out its here with all of
the answers to their unfulfilled theories and imaginations.
The last couple episodes of season 4 were definitely the most action packed. Episode 25, Hawk
Moth akumatizes a little boy and gives him the power to make other people take risks. Everyone
gets a mark placed on the back of their neck and when the little boy drives past them and sings,
they automatically take a risk. This isn’t good for ladybug and cat noir because if they randomly
take risks while fighting a supervillain, things could take a turn for the worst. And they did. While
fighting a crucial battle, Ladybug (Marinette) gives Adrien (Felix) the dog miraculous. The dog
miraculous grants the user the ability to fetch and return any arbitrary object that has been
touched by the ball in order to obtain their goal, like defeating a villain. Marinette thought she
could trust Adrien with it but it turns out that she gave it to Felix (Adrien’s identical cousin) by
accident. Felix’s intentions were far from positive. He used the power to steal ladybugs yoyo and
gave it to Hawkmoth. When ladybug found out, she was devastated. But Cat Noir encouraged
her to not give up, and then the episode ended with the people of Paris cheering them on.
Season 5 episode 1 starts with Hawkmoth putting on all the miraculous jewelry to use for his
benefit. Ladybug and Cat Noir are trying to figure out what his next move would be. They talk
with Alex (holder of the rabbit miraculous) about going through her power (burrow) to find where
Hawkmoth would strike next. Hawkmoth travels through different times to return to a vulnerable
moment in Ladybug and Cat Noir’s past to capture their miraculous. Because of time traveling
so much, Hawkmoth eventually runs out of energy and faints. Ladybug and Cat Noir take this
opportunity to take the rabbit miraculous from him and proceed to take the others. All of a
sudden, Hawkmoth uses wind dragon (power granted when owning the dragon miraculous) and
escapes them again. Cat Noir calms Ladybug down and tells her to be glad they at least got one
miraculous back.
Season 5 episode 2 Monarch (Hawkmoths new villain name) doesn’t akumatize people for a
while. Ladybug and Cat Noir grow so disinterested that they even pass their time by playing
card games. Adrien starts to get more romantically interested in Marinette, while she tries to
distance herself from him every chance she gets. A few days later an akuma attack happens.
But this one id different from the others. The villain gets a power from 1 of the chosen
miraculous. But when Ladybug and Cat Noir defeat the villain, thinking they’ll get the miraculous
back, they don’t.
Season 5 episode 3 Monarch uses the kwamis to get to Ladybug. But luckily, Ladybug has a
couple tricks up her sleeve. When she had the kwamis with her, she taught them what to do just
in case of an emergency. While Mnarch was following the kwamis around he ended falling into
the trap Ladybug and Cat Noir set up for him. But then he ends up escaping.
Miraculous Season 5 isn’t finished yet, but the best is yet to come
