Hispanic Heritage Festival
On Oct. 18, students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month in the courtyard during all lunch periods. During the event, students were able to come and enjoy a taste of the Latino culture through music, food, and games. Student volunteers painted country flags and other designs on faces. Other students took pictures with their cultural flags and danced. The committee that organized the event including students, teachers, and even the lunch staff participated by showing off the moves they had. The event was purposely to get students from all cultures to come together and celebrate as one. This turned out to be a success.
