Now that the month of December is here, One Direction fans all over the world know the date December 13th all too well. This was when the band had their iconic final performance at the same place where all this started, on X factor. Minus a member, the band put on a once in a lifetime show that would go down in history.
3 years have gone by since the boys packed their bags and started their never ending hiatus. Since then, each individual member has released their own music. In fact, two members went on tour, Niall Horan and Harry Styles. It is no doubt that the fans support all their individual projects, however, they still miss when they were all in one place. As a pretty big fan, I definitely feel their absence. When One Direction was still a group I had some of the best moments of my life. If I could do it all over again I so would. The story of my life cannot be told without referencing 1D.
One Directions departure has effected even the students at Blake. “It’s made me realize that all good things come to an end. They produced bops. I miss them.” Says a 9th grade student who was once a super fan. I feel as though One Direction has made a massive impact on not only the music industry but people everywhere. Maybe one day the fans will say love you goodbye to that era of their life but they seem to be holding on strong.
