It is such a superior time for rap music today. Hip hop has been one of the most listened genres for the past generation. This year a lot of successful rap albums has hit the charts like, “Scorpion” by Drake, ” KOD” by J.Cole, “Kamikaze” by Eminem, and many more. The industry has been doing nothing but making successful moves.

The industry has gotten way better when it was announced the rap star, Lil Wayne was coming out with his 5th studio album. The “Carter V” was Wayne’s latest thing that has been getting a lot of buzz. Fans were dying for more music ever since he released his album date on social media. Lil Wayne really wanted to show his fans that he is still standing and his rap crown isn’t going anywhere. Lil Wayne gave his fans probably his best album yet. More than just fans showed support, even other rap artist and celebrities. People like Nicki Minaj, Swizz Beats, and Chris Brown didn’t show him love for no reason. They really sat down and listened to every simile and every metaphor Wayne spit. People was happy for the album release that was here on September.28th.2018, but fans were a little salty when they found out Drake did not show support to Lil Wayne after the the album dropped.  People were trying to figure out what was going on because he didn’t do the same for Nicki Minaj when her album dropped in the beginning of August of 2018. Even though Nicki and Wayne is on his album. To pay them back for their awesome pen skills she showed them love recently on his tour a couple days ago, by showing a video of them all together. 

The songs on the album are making huge landings on the billboard charts. Most of the songs on the album to some people can call them, iconic. Some people might just say these songs are just great to listen to. There were the total of 23 songs on the album. Most of them were singles but some had some good features. The artists that had made an appearance on the album was, the deceased rapper XXXTENTACION, Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, Reginae Carter, Snoop Dogg, and more. Maybe that’s way Drake didn’t anything about Nicki and Wayne, because maybe he wasn’t on Queen or The Carter V. Two students at Blake had different opinions on the album, Kennady Smith said, ” I don’t like lil wayne. I don’t think he is the rap rapper right now. I listened to his album and it was trash. Then again I’m more of a Cardi b fan.” Another student name, Samuel said, ” I really don’t listen to Lil Wayne, but I listened to his album and now I’m always listening to his music.” People have different vibes about the album but there is tons of people that is ready for a live concert or his upcoming tour. Millions of people has been retweeting and commenting on their favorite songs from the album. 

Is There Another Auto-Tune Rapper taking His Place?

People seem to say that Lil Wayne’s reign is going to a down fall. Well obviously that was before his album dropped. But is that statement still standing? There are tons of auto-tune rappers that has been selling out arenas for years. A rapper name, Lil Uzi Vert, has been taking the billboards and Urban charts by storm.  Uzi has been getting so much radio play. During that time Wayne was getting radio play from Dj Khaled’s hit single, “I’m The One”. Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Wayne has no sign of beef, but the streets are talking when they say is he is taking Wayne’s spot. Lil Wayne will always be on the top charts with his amazing pen skills.

Lil Uzi Vert firstly became a sound cloud rapper and when it got to the end of 2016, that’s when he has been getting tons of radio play. With his hit songs, “Sauce It Up” and “XO Tour Lif3” and with one of his best songs he was ever featured on with the Migos, “Bad and Bougie”. Lil Wayne has been active in the rapping business since the early 2000s. He now owns his own label called, Young Money Cash Money Records. Lil Wayne cannot be compared to any other auto tune or rappers in general. 

Is Auto-Tune Out of Style?

Auto-tone has been referred into rap for many years. Rappers like T-pain, Fetty Wap, Lil Yatchy, and many more has been taking advantage of auto-tune for multiple years. Millions of people has been selling out big stages. Ever since 2017, the style of mumble rap ha became a huge sensation and people has mixed emotions about this new style. The mumble rap style has been expanding throughout the years. Many others rappers stated their opinions on the new style and its not all good reviews. The new generation is really digging the new style. Kanye West was really getting dragging on social media for collaborating with Lil Pump. Some high paid rapper has been dissed for working with rappers of the new generation. Another example of the hit song that made #4 on the billboard hot 100 which was FeFe by 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj. Many people have their personal opinon on the topic because they feel like hip hop is coming to a fall. Two awesome rappers name, J.Cole and Eminem, both wrote a song on how they feel about the new style of today.
