**WARNING: Contains Spoilers for Stranger Things Season 2**

Things just got stranger in Hawkins, Indiana for Will, Mike, Lucas and Dustin this year. Season 2 of Stranger Things premiered on Friday, Oct. 27th and it’s already the most talked about thing so far. In my personal opinion, this season gave off a much darker vibe than the previous one.

A year has passed and many things have changed for the four middle school students. Eleven is still missing, Will is dealing with the after-math of the upside down and there’s a new girl in the party.

Will has been dealing with ‘episodes’ that are a result of him being in the Upside Down, and these episodes end up changing Will in a way that has left us all in an emotional mess, which I applaud Noah Schnapp, who plays Will, for portraying the young boy so well.

Eleven was last seen fighting off the Demogorgon in the final episode of last season. I feel like many people may have thought the girl was gone forever, that is until we saw Chief Jim Hopper leaving a container of food and Eggo’s in a box in the woods for her. This season, we get to see a more fierce version of Eleven and get to see where she comes from and who her real family is.

Max is the new, young girl who has seemed to squeeze her way into Elevens empty spot in the group, which doesn’t seem to set well with Mike who desperately wants Eleven back. Though she is, at first left out on many details of the previous year, she eventually is filled in and doesn’t hesitate to help her new friends save Will from the new monster that is terrorizing his life.

We all can’t wait for season 3, which was hinted at in the last few seconds of the last episode. This time, they might fight the new monster head-on, seeing as to how they only battled it figuratively and went against its ‘demo-dogs’ as dustin calls them, which are half demogorgon, half dog-ish. We just all hope that they are able to live a normal life with no Upside Down or demogorgons, as much as they can after everything the poor children have been through.
