Shocking news that our childhood creator has sadly left us. Stephen Hillenburg at the age of 57 passed away due to ALS. Every child is a fan of Hillenburg due to the most popular kid TV show and the most famous show on the Nickelodeon network, SpongeBob SquarePants. The television show has been making achievements for 10 years. The very first episode of the show was debuted on May, 1st in 1999. The crazy thing about it is that the show is still playing on cable til this day with new episodes still rolling in. It hurt multiple people when social media revealed that Stephen Hillenburg lost his life. Throughout his last couple years, Hillenburg was actually going through something that he didn’t really share with the media.

ALS is a serious condition where your body begins to struggle with handling things on your own. ALS stands for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Many people have suffered this condition and many companies have put their time and investment in giving back to them to show them support. Despite the struggles he was going through, he gave over millions of kids the time of their life with the hit cartoon show. Name another cartoon show that you know makes that much money. Stephen Hillenburg wasn’t doing this for the money, he wanted to make people happy and have a good laugh. The show has gotten so addictive that even parents would stop to stare at the television to see what the buzz is all about. It’s really hard to believe that one of the most awesome cartoonists is gone and is up in the heavens.
