A new face walks the halls for the 2016-2017 school year. Matthew Stenberg is the new piano and voice instructor at Blake High School. He was born January 6th, 1980 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated with his Bachelor degree at Clearwater Christian College. Mr. Stenberg has a wife and two kids. Chloe (11) and William (9).

Some of Mr. Stenberg’s hobbies are golfing, fishing, downhill skiing, and of course music. He first realized he loved music in 3rd grade, when he started taking piano lessons and preforming. He says if he wasn’t teaching music he would be playing Professional Baseball. His favorite team is The Minnesota Twins. Mr. Stenberg’s favorite memory of teaching music was watching his students preform at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

This school year, Mr. Stenberg is working with Legally Blonde. His goal for the 2016-2017 school year is to inspire students to strive for excellence. He has said he’s very eager to start his tenure at Blake High School.
